Principles of the concept
In mass media, one can
find a plethora of information available about health care. Cures and medical
products offered cover a wide range: from high tech medicine complementary or
traditional medicine. The spectrum ranges from modern biotech derived
supplements of foods to traditional old medicine or organic products. Day by
day, mass media flow us with a mere endless number of reports about new genes
linked to diseases with nearby medical breakthroughs, new medical technologies,
newly identified toxins, and last but not least the impacts of feeding and
nutrition or global changes. Self-proclaimed experts are omni-present in all
these areas of expertise, often claiming their approach the best available.

Our knowledge about molecular biology and possible consequences from genetic disposition, environmental, socio-economic, nutritional or lifestyle situations are growing rapidly. But, interweaving all this information, development of a personal concept from the basis of an informed decision seems rather impossible.
For example, the result of many interviews and checkups univocally is that patients are still not satisfyingly informed about health risks and cure strategies. One of the reasons may be the medical and biological complexity of many diseases and factors eliciting them. So, for instance, still little is known about the coherences between breast cancer, genetic dispositions, toxins and life style, which thus, are objectives of intense worldwide examinations and scientific studies.
I daresay it is impudent to provide conclusive information about the interaction of fields, as large as genetics, environmental, lifestyle or socio-economic factors contributing to human health. On this site, we try to provide concepts to combine inter-disciplinary research approaches for the development of personal health care strategies.
